The house is in the beautiful and historic village of Château-Landon just south of famous Fontainebleau yet only 1½ hours drive from Paris. It sits on the edge of a picturesque village steeped in history.

It has a secluded position with pretty walled garden front and back, back terrace with views across a small valley, while fresh croissants at any of the three boulangeries or home-made food at the traiteur are a stone's throw away -as are local restaurants. Own secure parking.

An excellent base for exploring Fontainebleau, Barbizon, Paris, The Loire Valley, chateaux, vineyards (Sancerre, Chablis..), but also a charming spot for walking, cycling (bikes at the house) and just enjoying French rural life.

Souppes-sur-Loing railway station is 5 kms away with trains to Paris.

Calais/Boulogne 4/5 hours drive.

Car is not essential but recommended.

   1 bedroom with double bed
   1 bedroom with 2 single beds
   1 sofabed in living room (can be partitioned off)

Bathroom:
   bathroom with bath/shower,
   WC separate with hand basin

Kitchen :  Country-style kitchen overlooking rear garden. Gas cooker, microwave, fridge, coffee-maker, dishwasher, washing machine, table and chairs.

Living Room: Spacious living/dining area, tv and dvd player, stereo. Light airy room with french windows overlooking front garden. Living section with sofabed can be partitioned off.

Games Room: Large basement area with table tennis table, 6ft. snooker table, air-hockey table and darts board.. 4 adult bikes and two children's bikes.
Garden furniture and barbeque.

Garden : Walled front and back. Stone terrace at the back with views across the valley- perfect for eating outside.

 

NOTES ON ACCOMMODATION

The house has central heating and has been newly painted and carpeted throughout (spring 06).

Hall cupboard with electric iron and ironing board.

Living accommodation on ground floor with games room in basement leading directly onto back garden.

Perfect property for couples or families with children, good security, shutters.

Bedlinen supplied but no towels or tea towels.
